Some manufacturers now use copper plated steel to produce their tea kettles.   *Except for our Chantal and CPR28 kettles,  all copper tea kettles from Excellent Accents are solid copper.  Ask for the genuine article.  Our copper tea kettles are lacquer free which means they are ready to use when you receive them without the tedious mess of trying to remove an exterior coating of lacquer (simply wash with hot soap and water before use).
